Cholesterol : Essential for Great Health but Know the “Good” from The “Bad”

In various media forms today, we often hear a lot about cholesterol. The terms HDL and LDL are commonly used, but embarrassingly, most people really don’t know the difference. Cholesterol is one of the natural substances found in the body that has certain vital functions to perform like:

The Building of cell membranes
Maintenance of fluidity of these cell membranes
Metabolizing the fat soluble vitamins of type A, D, E and K
Production of bile for proper digestion of fat
Base material for many hormones
Basic component of the nervous system

The HDL cholesterol level in your blood is very important and you have to increase it as much as possible. HDL, or “good” cholesterol, gives more benefits to your body and plays a vital role in maintaining the health of your heart. Unlike LDL cholesterol (or bad cholesterol), this type of cholesterol fights against the buildup of plaque inside the arteries. It has the effect of removing LDL from the blood vessels to the liver. This...

Debunking the Myths about Weight Loss

The general belief is that there is some magic secret to losing weight, looking better, and feeling great. The myths people believe are that a complicated diet must be followed and you have to spend all waking hours at the gym. The reality is actually quite simple, although most don’t want to believe the truth.

So let’s talk about eating better, being active and getting enough sleep. I want to encourage you that my program is simple, scientific and something that you can do for the rest of your life. Most people don’t want to look for the answers, but rather hide behind a set of complicated excuses.

When I talk about eating better I am not talking about eating only organic, juice fasts, or extreme dietary restrictions. Does eating better need to be a highly complex process with all sorts of hard to find foods? Not by any means, rather increasing fruits and vegetables and avoiding processed food is a great way to start. Fruits and vegetables have been what mankind...

Things you need to know about Lysine

lysine vitamin Oct 17, 2019

What is lysine and what can it do for you? Lysine is primarily responsible for producing collagen which helps in repairing torn tendons, muscles, ligaments and skin. It plays an important role in the production of disease fighting antibodies, hormones, and enzymes and prevents atherosclerosis, which is the hardening of artery walls due to deposits of fats. This also lessens the possibility of hypertension (high blood pressure). Lysine is an essential amino acid that your body needs to function properly.

It maintains the skins’ health and elasticity. Lysine is required for proper collagen production. It helps in the formation and growth of bones, hair, teeth, muscles and other parts of the body that requires calcium. Chest and Arms Firmer, Calves Bigger, Stomach Smaller - John Melcher

Some of you may have heard about John’s radio producer,  Jonathan, and his dedication to his Transformation journey. Here is the first installment of what will be weekly updates here:

“The biggest difference I am currently seeing is in muscle.  I feel my chest getting firmer and my arms are feeling the same way.  I have also noticed my calves getting bigger as well.  One big thing I’ve noticed is that the days after my workouts, I am not hurting or in pain even though during the workout, I could very much “feel the burn”.  Ask far as my waist goes, I have not noticed clothing fitting any looser yet, but my stomach, at times, has seemed a little smaller.  ”

John Melcher

This week I have definitely noticed some changes. I am currently following all 10 technologies for the program, and it is working. Last week I was only noticing my calf muscles getting bigger. This week I am seeing my arms and chest getting...

Abandoning Gastric Bypass Surgery

“I started listening to John’s show back in early March and knowing it was time to do something went in to see him. I was impressed with what he said and decided to give it a try but then had to convince my lovely wife to do the program with me. To say she was one of John’s “healthy skeptics” was an understatement! Over the years she had tried everything and was on a course toward gastric bypass surgery. To support me she abandoned the latest attempt, Jenny Craig, and joined the Jubilee Transformation program with me.

We couldn’t be happier with the results. In 88 days I had lost 106 pounds of fat and added lean muscle mass and healthy hydration. 4 and 1/2 months into the program I am likely approaching 120 pounds of fat loss and I feel great! I’m down 7 pants sizes and the fat keeps melting away.

Brenda lost 66 pounds of fat in her first 88 days and looks healthier than she has in years! She too is down 7 pants sizes and had lost 57 inches...

Garlic Eggs Gary Style - Recipe

breakfast eggs recipe Sep 12, 2019

A simple recipe and a thought:

When I started the Jubilee transformation I announced to my friends, drinking buddies from work and my relatives (as needed) that I am going off the grid for 90 days. I will still be here if you need me but my routine is changing and I am taking out this period of time for me.  All of them gave me that look as  they were surprised because I was and I am serious about this transformation thing. It was a great way to start.

4 eggs

¼ small onion minced

Splash of skim milk

Light salt

1 tsp cracked black pepper

½ tsp basil (optional)

½ tsp garlic powder

1 small home grown tomato chunked

Shredded American and part skim mozzarella cheese to taste (I like heavy)

Mix eggs, onion, milk and spices, whip longer than usual to aerate or use a blender

Cook eggs in a skillet with a little extra virgin olive oil

Don’t over scramble and try to leave at omelet consistency

Transfer to plate and add cheese topped with tomatoes
